Crown Gambit is coming to Steam in 2025!

Paris, France, August 23rd 2024 – Playdigious Originals announced today at the Future Game Show that they will be publishing the narrative adventure card-game Crown Gambit, by French studio Wild Wits. After a successful Kickstarter campaign with over $30k raised, the game is planned for a launch in 2025 on PC via Steam.

Crown Gambit is a tactical narrative game that transports players to a chaotic capital where they will need to prevent the realm’s downfall. In this mysterious dark-fantasy universe inspired by Celtic and Breton folklore and drawn by French artist Gobert, players will use the skills of three intrepid paladins to overcome political turmoil. Aliza, the blood-bending swashbuckler, Hael, the mace-wielding cleric, and Rollo, the anchor-waving tanker will have to make dreadful choices during their journey as they pledge allegiance to one of the pretenders to the throne.

Crown Gambit mixes board-shattering card battles and deck-building with strong narrative, storytelling and multiple endings. Players will interact with a wide cast of fascinating characters and will have to make difficult decisions to reveal all their secrets.

“I am very proud to finally be able to show the world my collaboration with Wild Wits Games and Playdigious, ” says GOBERT – Artistic Director at Wild Wits. “They offered me a unique opportunity to prove myself and use my talents for a unique and ambitious project that’s off the beaten track!”

“I am very glad that this is finally official. Crown Gambit is a game that’s very close to our hearts at Wild Wits Games. We’ve got a story to tell that we’re very proud of, and Gobert’s art style is particularly well-suited to bring this universe to life.” adds CORTO LALY, studio president of Wild Wits.” I’m particularly happy that we joined the Playdigious catalogue, as the collaboration with both teams has been extremely fluid, and above all, they have confidence in our creative vision. Very happy that Playdigious supports Brittany through us, it proves that we are France’s elite.”
